The Gold painted Wealth vase was reproduced as model of antique ceramic vase at the Dynastic of King Tran – Le (14th – 15th centuries).
The design of the vase is very well presented, could be separated into three parts as below:
The neck of Vase is decorated the design of the banana leaf and the rice leaf which shows a familiar, rustic image in the Red River Data. Furthermore, the decoration shows the design of “Lac Viet” Bird’s Plume which was used to decorate on “Hung” King’s crown. This design also shows the desire for independence and freedom of the nation. On the shoulder of the vase, we can see the image of a seal’s icon which represents for the sovereignty, the boundary and the territories of the Vietnamese.
The main decoration on the body of the vase is an enormous chrysanthemum – which represents an honorable man or a successful person in the East Asia Society. Around the body of the vase are the motifs of wire chrysanthemum, show the image of woman who always protect and takes care their husband through his successful career.
The bottom of the vase is a stylized lotus motif that represents the beauty of Buddhist and the belief in Buddhism of the Vietnamese.
The vase is double – burned ceramic that combined the tradition and modernity. . The vase in which the 5 basic elements (metal, wood, water, fire, earth according to Eastern philosophy) gather is especially good for “Feng shui”.
